WIN A SAFARI TO KENYA!
The WHY
As a family who love to travel, and love to share the world with our boys – our primary objective for all of it is to make sure they know enough about the world we live in to care about it’s wellbeing. It’s also the reason we share our travels on our YouTube channel, TheNewbys Explore – to educate and inspire our viewers to care a little more too.
In February we travelled to Kenya with a UK based Travel Operator, Wild Paths, to experience the community and conservation work being done by the Secluded Africa Wildlife and Community Trust (SAWCT) and we documented it all on TheNewbys Explore.
Our belief is that by exposing more people to the challenges being faced across our planet, our impact in making a change for the better will be bigger. You can’t truly CARE about something, if you don’t KNOW about it. So, this is YOUR opportunity to be a part of that change – and to really KNOW about this incredible part of the world, and about the people working hard to keep it safe.
We’ve hatched a plan…
The Plan, and the PRIZE!
Wild Paths have come up with the offer of a lifetime – an all expenses paid trip to Kenya for two people, exactly like the one we did. While you’re in Kenya you will visit the projects run by the SAWCT, as well as experience for yourself the magic of being in the wilds of Africa.
This is all to raise funds for the projects we visited in Kenya. So, there are a couple of things we need from you guys to be in with a chance to win this trip of a lifetime, and here they are:
- A minimum donation of £20/$25/€25 to this fundraiser. Each £20/$25/€25 donation will count as one entry into the prize draw

This is how the funding will work:
- We need to raise a minimum of $5,000 in order for the trip to go ahead. $2,900 of that will be given by Wild Paths to SAWCT to cover minimal ground costs for the winners safari. The remaining $ will be donated directly to the projects run by the Secluded Africa Trust.
- Anything raised over and above $5,000 will go directly to the projects
- If we do not meet the $5,000 threshold, ALL funds raised will go to the projects, but the winning safari will NOT run.
THE LOWDOWN
By making a donation to this cause, you will not only be giving yourself the chance to win this safari, but more importantly, you will be donating to the SAWCT enabling them to continue with their projects. In 2023 they provided more than 7.5million litres of water to wildlife, funded anti poaching patrols across 20,000km of fence, made 400,000l of fresh water drinking water easily accessible to local communities, donated 6 tonnes of food to 4 primary schools in the local area, and sponsored so many young people from the poorest backgrounds through school, and beyond into formal employment.
It’s seriously inspiring work, and this is YOUR chance to be a part of it.
The Terms and Conditions (boring, but necessary!)
To enter the draw, purchase one (1) $25/€25/£20 entry (or multiple entries) via Crowdfunder,
- Entrants may enter as many times as they’d like.
- The Prize draw runs from 1800 hrs (GMT) Friday the 28th of February 2025 until 0000hrs (GMT) Monday 31st March 2025. Any purchases made after this time will not be entered into the draw.
- Postal entries will not be accepted
- There is only one (1) prize, and only one (1) prize winner will be selected.
- The prize winner will be selected using a third-party random winner generator from all valid entries received during the competition period. The draw will be conducted before 12.00 pm (GMT) on 1st April. The prize winner will be notified via a phone call only. If the prize winner fails to accept the prize within 24 hours of the offer, another prize winner will be selected using the same third-party random winner generator. This process will continue until a prize winner has accepted the prize.
- The prize winner will win one (1) holiday for two (2) adults in Kenya
The holiday will include:
- 4 nights accommodation at Kipalo Hills in a Traditional Safari tent on an all-inclusive basis with a private guide/vehicle.
- 5 nights accommodation at Cardamom House, Vipingo on a Half Board basis.
- First Class Train tickets from Nairobi to Voi for your safari and Voi to Marikiani. Transfers in Nairobi and on the Kenya Coast
- Guide and vehicle (including game drives and walking safaris)
The holiday will not include:
- International flights to Kenya;
- Overnight accommodation in Nairobi (that may be required during the holiday);
- Any additional accommodation, excursions or activities;
- Tips, tourist visas, vaccinations or any other personal expenses that may be required in connection with the holiday;
- Mandatory Travel Insurance costs.
- Outside of the payment, deposit and cancellation terms included within Wild Paths Terms and Conditions all other terms will apply to any individual adult(s) participating in the holiday.
- The prize is valid for a stay during 2025 subject to availability, based on two (2) adults sharing. Additional guests can be added to the holiday but will be charged the applicable rates at an additional cost to the prize winner.
- The prize value at the date of the prize draw is $12,800 and cannot be redeemed for any cash prize.
- The draw will be governed by English law and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
- The organiser of the prize draw is Wild Paths Limited (Company Number 14383625). Wild Paths is a UK registered Tour Operator and ATOL holder (atol number: 12657).
- $2,900 will be reserved to pay for park fees, conservancy fees and ‘hard costs’ such as train tickets and transfer costs, paid to our local suppliers in Kenya. Wild Paths will take no profit from funds, all will be passed directly to the Secluded Africa Wildlife and Conservation Trust after hard costs are paid to local partners.
- The organiser reserves the right to suspend, cancel or modify the prize draw at any time (and for any reason), without notice.
- The organiser offers the prize in good faith and shall not be responsible for damages, losses or liabilities of any kind, including without limitation, direct, indirect or consequential loss or damages arising out of or in relation to the draw. The liability of the promoter shall be limited to the maximum amount permitted by law.
