Our YouTube journey has taken us on many adventures, from living in our self converted camper vans Koti and Safari, to over landing through Africa in a rooftop tent with an eight month old, to road tripping through the USA as Crusoe began to walk, and ultimately to documenting our renovation journey on our farm in Northern Portugal with our two young boys. It has been one heck of a journey and we’re beyond grateful for all of your support and love.

We’ve had so much fun with it all, that we now have TWO YouTube channels, “TheNewbys” and “TheNewbys Explore”. These channels follow our two biggest journeys: one of family, growth and projects, and another with adventure, exploration and travel, but every episode is a reflection of our love for life, together.

We feel so deeply grateful for the online community we have around us, and we’d love for you to join us.

Exploring our every day

On The Newbys channel, we share our family’s ongoing story of dreaming big, building boldly, and learning as we go. Here is where we take on exciting new projects and adventures that enrich our lives. We are currently on our most ambitious project yet – renovating an abandoned farm in Northern Portugal and building a big stone house in the mountains.

We’ve got big NEW projects on the horizon, which we can’t wait to share. Subscribing is completely free and the best way to follow along, catch every episode, and see what we get up to next. We’d love to have you join us on this journey and be part of the adventures as they unfold!

Exploring the world

Travel is where this whole YouTube journey started with us, and it runs in our blood. TheNewbys Explore is where we share our travels. As the boys grow we’re determined that they see as much of the world as possible, and that they understand how beautiful and nuanced it is. There is much that the world has to offer, and there is much that we should offer the world.

This all began with five weeks in India in January 2024 which was a hugely successful series on our channel. Next up, we set off for Borneo, Thailand, and Kenya, exploring new places and connecting with people and communities along the way. With 36k subscribers on this little channel, this adventure is just beginning, and it’s about more than travel: it’s about learning, giving back, and making a lasting impact, inspiring others to explore with purpose.
